What are Non-Surgical Treatments?
Non-surgical facial plastic surgery treatments are non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures designed to improve the appearance of the face without the need for surgery. These treatments can address a range of concerns such as wrinkles, fine lines, early skin laxity, and volume loss. Some popular non-surgical facial treatments include injectables like Botox/Dysport and dermal fillers, which can temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and volume to the face. Other treatments include radiofrequency with microneedling (Profound), and laser skin resurfacing.
Non-surgical treatments typically have little to no downtime, and the results can be seen almost immediately. However, these treatments are usually temporary and may require repeated sessions to maintain the desired results. During your consultation with Dr. Sanan, he will work with you and determine which non-surgical facial treatments are suitable for your individual needs and goals.
Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify are neuromodulators (wrinkle freezers) that are commonly used for cosmetic purposes to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. They work by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that cause muscle contractions, resulting in a smoother and more youthful appearance.
Facial fillers are injectable substances used to add volume, smooth out wrinkles and folds, and enhance facial contours. They are often made from hyaluronic acid or other biocompatible materials and can last anywhere from six months to a year, depending on the type of filler used and your individual metabolism.
